Publishing a dashboard
Publishing controls who can open a dashboard outside the editor. Open Dashboard settings → Publishing.
Visibility
Internal dashboards have three visibility options:
| Visibility | Who can open the share URL |
|---|---|
| Private | Nobody. There is no public URL. Only workspace members in the app can see it. |
| Protected | Anyone with the URL and the username/password you set. |
| Public | Anyone with the URL. No sign-in. |
Customer (multi-customer) dashboards are different. They are always login-protected. Each customer user signs in with the email and password you created for them. They do not use the internal visibility options, and they only see data bound to their :customer_id.
Share URL
When a dashboard is published (or when it is a customer dashboard), settings show a URL of the form:
https://app.customerdashboard.io/view/<share-token>
Copy it from the publishing panel. Saving visibility changes is what activates a new public or protected link. A private dashboard has no share URL.
The public viewer does not expose SQL or data-source credentials.
Auto-rotate views
If the dashboard has several views (tabs), you can cycle them in the public viewer — useful on an office TV.
Turn Auto-rotate views on and set the interval in seconds (default 15). The viewer advances through views in order and loops.
Theme and branding
Logo, colors, and number formats are configured in the other settings tabs. They apply to both the editor preview and the published viewer.
